Josh Brolin Wants to Return to Deadpool:
Fans of the foul-mouthed mercenary Deadpool were sad to see the character's X-Force arc seemingly come to an end with the last film. But there was one particular team member whose fate remained a bit more ambiguous: the stoic Cable, played by the ever-gruff Josh Brolin.
In a recent interview, Brolin expressed his enthusiasm for reprising the role. "Absolutely," he said when asked about returning as Cable. "I loved playing Cable. It was a fun character." He hinted at his involvement in future Deadpool films, saying, "There were talks about [coming back], but it never got to a green light."
So, what's the snag? While the reasons behind the stalled talks are unknown, it's possible that Brolin's busy schedule, coupled with the ever-shifting landscape of Marvel rights with Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Studios (Deadpool's former home), might have thrown a wrench into Cable's return.
With Deadpool 3 officially in the works under Marvel Studios, the question remains: will Cable be back to join the mayhem? Only time will tell, but if Brolin has his say, we might see the gritted-teeth gunslinger grace the silver screen again.
