Hyundai Plant Delay After Immigration Raid

Hyundai's Georgia battery plant, jointly operated with LG Energy Solutions, faces a two-to-three-month delay due to a recent immigration raid. Over 475 workers were detained, with more than 300 being South Korean nationals. Following a bilateral agreement, the South Koreans are being repatriated. Hyundai CEO José Muñoz attributed the delay to worker shortages and the difficulty in replacing those deported.
