Top 5 Batsmen With Most Runs in a Single IPL Season
Cricket isn’t just a game in Asian countries; it’s like a festival, especially in India. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a great cricket league where many players participate and create extraordinary records that are hard to break. Some of these records include the most catches, most ducks, most wickets, and many more. Here are the top 5 batsmen with the most runs in a single IPL season.

5. Kane Williamson (SRH)

Kane Williamson did well in the 2018 IPL. He scored 735 runs in 17 matches with an average of 52.50. He led the Sunrisers Hyderabad team when David Warner wasn’t there. He played amazingly, scoring eight half-centuries, and leading the team to the final with his smart captaincy.

4. David Warner (SRH)

David Warner played well for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016. He helped them win the IPL that year. He scored 848 runs in 17 matches, with nine half-centuries. Even though he’s not playing as well recently, people still remember his amazing performance in 2016. Now, he plays for Delhi Capitals instead of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

3. Jos Buttler (RR)

In IPL 15, Jos Buttler from Rajasthan Royals got the Orange Cap. He scored 863 runs in 17 matches, with an average of 57.53 and a striking rate of 149.05. He made four centuries and four half-centuries. This placed him third in the list of highest run-scorers for a single IPL season.

2. Shubman Gill (GT)

Shubman Gill did well in the IPL 2023. He scored 890 runs, which was almost the highest score. He played very consistently and could adjust to different situations. He even scored three centuries in four matches. In the final match, he scored 39 runs, which helped his team a lot. This shows how talented he is.

  1. Virat Kohli (RCB)

In the 2016 IPL, Virat Kohli played well. He scored 973 runs, with an average of 81.08. He even got four centuries! He played so well that his team, RCB, made it to the final game. But sadly, they lost to SRH. Even though they lost, Kohli did amazing. He’s still the top scorer in the IPL, with 6244 runs in 206 matches.
